Won't that provide strangers with information about my child should the vehicle ever be broken into?A. By having a car seat card on your child's car seat or booster seat, you are providing emergency personnel with immediate access to important information needed to treat your child if you cannot speak for them as well as a medical release signature line giving your permission to treat in an emergency. DNA breaks down and will become after a period of time unless it is professionally taken and stored properly. Q. What is the best way to get a good set of fingerprints from my child?A. When taking your child's fingerprints, you need to roll the finger from one side to the other in order to get clear print with as many points of identification as possible. Do not press the finger flat on the paper. Q. How do I get a DNA Sample from my child?A. You can collect a DNA sample by swabbing the inside of the cheek vigorously with a cotton swab such as a Q-tip. Let the cotton dry for a couple of hours in a clean environment and then cut off the end and store in DNA bag attached to child profile folder. You can also collect a hair sample, but you need to make sure the root is attached. The easiest way to do this is to examine and find a hair from a hairbrush just after brushing your child's hair. Q. If your child were to become missing, then you would be able to immediately hand your completed child profile to the police. Statistics show that the sooner you can report the missing child and get info. to the police, the sooner that child can be found. Q.
